Nahisulod kini sa Proclamation Number 656 nga gilagdaan ni Presidente Benigno ‘Noynoy’ Aquino III niadtong Setyembre 26.

PNoy declares Aug. 9 as regular holiday in observance of ‘Eid’l Fitr’

President Benigno S. Aquino III has declared August 9, which falls on a Friday, as a regular holiday throughout the country in observance of Eid’l Fitr (Feast of Ramadan).

The Chief Executive issued the declaration through Proclamation No. 629 signed on August 1 by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr., in line with the Republic Act No. 9177 that declared Eid’l Fitr or Feast of Ramadan as a regular holiday throughout the country.

Eid’l Fitr is celebrated by the Muslim World for three (3) days after the end of the month of fasting.

“To promote cultural understanding and integration, the entire Filipino nation should have the full opportunity to join their Muslim brothers and sisters in the observance and celebration of Eid’l Fitr,” the President said.

“In order to bring the religious and cultural significance of the Eid’l Fitr to the fore of national consciousness, it is necessary to declare Friday, 9 August 2013, as a regular holiday throughout the country,” he said.

Ramadan is the month when Muslims observe a strict fasting for a period of 12 hours daily, from sunrise to sunset.

Ramadan is also a month of sacrifice and purification as the Muslims worldwide fast, pray and act with kindness towards the poor and less fortunate. (PND)

Alang sa mga gustong magpa-miyembro, kinahanglang mag-fill out ug mosumitir og personal record form o SSS Form E-1 sa labing duol nga SSS branch.

Kinahanglang may kasukip kining photocopy sa birth o baptismal certificate, driver’s license, passport, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) card o seaman’s book.

Gawas sa registration services, modawat usab ang SSS og bayad sa kontribusyon sa mga household employers.

PNoy declares 3rd Monday of June of every year as National Tour Guides’ Day

PRESIDENT Benigno S. Aquino III has declared the third Monday of June of every year as National Tour Guides’ Day in recognition of the contribution of the tourist guides’ sector in the development, promotion and sustainability of tourism in the Philippines.

The Chief Executive issued the declaration by virtue of Proclamation No. 574 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr. on May 7.

“Tourism is an indispensable element of the national economy and an industry of national interest and importance, which must be harnessed as an engine of socio-economic growth and cultural affirmation,” President Aquino said.

The President noted that Republic Act. No. 9593 or the “Tourism Act of 2009,” promotes a tourism industry that is ecologically sustainable, responsible and participative.

“Tour guides play a very significant role in tourism, as they promote, market and advocate the Philippines as a tourism destination, creating a favorable image of the country and contributing to an enriching Philippine experience for local and foreign visitors,” he said.

“The National Tour Guides’ Day provides an opportunity for professional tour guides to convene and conduct activities that will promote and advance their profession, and that will also draw the attention of authorities, the public and the media to the quality and the value of their work,” he stressed. Ubos sa Proclamation No. 571, s. 2013, gideklarar nga special non-working holiday ang adlaw sa piniliay aron mahatagan og patas nga kahigayonan ang tanang Pilipino nga makabotar.

“The President has declared Monday, May 13, 2013, a special public (non-working) holiday throughout the country. The Constitution designates national and local polls to be held on the second Monday of May and by virtue of Proclamation No. 571, s. 2013, the President wishes to enable the Filipino people to exercise their right to suffrage,” matud pa sa pahayag nga gipagawas sa Malakanyang karong adlawa.

Nahisulod dinhi ang pagbawal ug may kaatbang nga silot ang ilegal nga pagkabit og koneksyon sa mga cable television (CATV) ug cable internet service provider.

Matud pa ni Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte, gilagdaan kini ni PNoy niadtong Abril 17, 2013.

May silot kini nga pagka-bilanggo og duha hangtud lima ka tuig o silot nga P50,000 hangtud P100,000 o pareho, depende sa kabobot-on sa husgado.

Kun ang nakalapas usa ka korporasyon o kapunongan, ang presidente, manager, managing partner o bisan kinsang opisyal sa korporasyon kapunongan nga direktang adunay partisipasyon sa maong kalapasan ang manubag.

CSC extends application deadline for April 2013 examination

THE deadline of application for the April 14 Career Service Professional and Sub-Professional written examinations is extended from February 28, 2013 to March 5, 2013.

This was announced by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Examination, Recruitment and Placement Office to give more time for applicants who aim to earn Civil Service eligibility and be qualified to work in the government.

Applicants for both levels of examination may still submit their application forms to any CSC Regional and Field offices nationwide. However, application may be closed any time before March 5, 2013 in some CSC Regional/Field Offices which have reached their quota.

Application requirements are as follows: 1. Properly accomplished Application Form (CS Form No. 100, Revised 2012 available at any CSC Regional/Field Office, or may be downloaded from the CSC website www.csc.gov.ph);

2. Four pieces of recently taken (not more than three months ago) ID pictures with the following specifications: Passport-sized (4.5 cm x 3.5 cm); Colored with white background; In standard close-up shot (from shoulder level up with the head and face occupying at least 80% of the picture and with the name tag positioned at approximately 1 inch or 2.54 cm below the chin); In bare face (without eye glasses, or any accessory that may cover facial features); Showing left and right ears; In full-face view directly facing the camera with neutral facial expression and both eyes open; and with handwritten (not computer-generated) name tag showing the applicant’s signature over printed full name (first name, middle initial, last name and extension name, if any);

3. Original and photocopy of any of the following valid ID cards containing the applicant’s name, clear picture, date of birth and signature, and the issuing agency authorized officer’s name and signature: Driver’s License, SSS ID, GSIS ID, PhilHealth ID, current Company/Office ID, current School ID, Postal ID, BIR ID, Barangay ID, Voter’s ID, valid Passport, or Police Clearance; and

4. For applicants without data of their date of birth in their valid ID, original and photocopy of NSO-issued Birth Certificate, or Birth Certificate authenticated/issued by the Local Civil Registrar are needed.

Examination fee for both levels of the written Career Service Examination (CSE) is P500.

The CSC stressed that applicants should come in proper attire when filing their application and, thus, should avoid wearing sleeveless shirt/blouse, short pants, and slippers.
