PGMA scholarship benefits reach 10.86M mark and still growing
The President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (PGMA) scholarship benefits reach 10.86 million mark benefiting poor but deserving students and ordinary people. This figure is expected to increase with the President’s pronouncement of her bias for the teaching profession during the State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA).
Pres. Arroyo believes that “Education is the key to progress and it is the best weapon to fight poverty. It is also the great equalizer that allows every young Filipino a chance to realize their dreams.”
Saying that her term does not end until next year and that a year is still a long time, the President said “We will continue to invest on the so-called “Three (3) E’s of Economy, Environment and Education.” (PIA)
