CVSCAFT System President accused of no consultation on plan of relocating the main campus.

The Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Technology (CVSCAFT) Faculty and Employees Association president Avelina Escudero accused particularly CVSCAFT System President Elpidio Magante of not consulting the faculty, employees and bypassing even the alumni of the Bilar campus where the supposed main seat of the original CVSCAFT system is located. Even before the bill converting the Central Visayas State College of Agriculture, Fisheries and Technology signed into law, proponents of the move are under fire from faculty members, employees and alumni for alleged backdoor negotiations, non-consultation and bypassing the faculty, employees and alumni. The faculty and employees association of the Bilar campus also submitted to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan committee on education a resolution requesting support to their sentiments against Magante’s plan to transfer the main campus from Bilar CVSCAFT to Tagbilaran City. Magante was in Manila when a hearing was called by the provincial board committee on education chaired by Ester Corazon Galbreath. Galbreath, who is a former mayor of Bilar town, also joined the sentiments of the Bilar faculty, employees and alumni, also expressing surprise on the report that a House Bill is now on its third and final reading and is ready for the bicameral approval of both the Senate and the House of Representatives.
